Parent Teacher Association @ P.H.S.

MeetingThe PTA currently comprises of 45 parent representatives (mums/dads/caregivers), PHS management staff, normally two staff representatives and most months we have arepresentative from the Board of Trustees attending also.

There are five designated positions – President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Second-hand Uniform Co-ordinator.

Are you finding it a challenge going from lots of involvement with Primary and Intermediate school to “you don’t need to come in”, “drop me down here”?

Some of our PTA members did and this was one of the reasons they had for joining - enabling them to keep up to date with events within the school and to support the school/child with ideas and feedback.

  • The Role of the PTA

    • Have input into the future direction of the school.
    • Receive a monthly report from the Principal who in turn seeks advice and feedback from the PTA.
    • Help out during report evenings and open nights.
    • Overview the running of the canteen.
    • Assist with the second-hand uniform shop.
    • Have fun and organise social events.
